How It Works

Dosage

1. Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 to 2 suppositories (500 mg to 1000 mg) every 4 to 6 hours as needed.

2. Do not take more than 4000 mg (4 g) of paracetamol in 24 hours from all sources combined.

3. Leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not exceed the recommended amount.

4. Empty the bowel if needed, then insert one whole suppository into the rectum and stay still for a few minutes.

Important Information

Do not use Adol if you are allergic to paracetamol or any ingredient, and note that paracetamol suppositories may contain soy or peanut-derived excipients, so avoid use if you have these allergies. Never take other paracetamol-containing products at the same time, as exceeding the maximum dose can cause serious liver damage. Use the lowest effective dose, especially if you have liver or kidney problems, are underweight, or drink alcohol regularly.
