• Like all medicines, Artelac can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
• In very rare cases, some patients with severe damage to the clear layer at the front of the eye (the cornea) have developed cloudy patches on the cornea due to calcium build-up during treatment.
• You may briefly have blurred vision or a slight stinging feeling after using your drops
This medication functions as an artificial tear and lubricant in the symptomatic treatment of corneal and conjunctival dehydration brought on by decreased lacrimal secretion and functional problems brought on by systemic or topical illnesses or by inadequate or incomplete eyelid closure.
Indications: Artelac is a lubricating medication that treats dry eye symptoms. It is a soothing solution that is used as an artificial tear substitute when tears are not present in the eyes.
