Important Information

Do not take Brufen if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other NSAIDs, or if you have a current or past stomach ulcer or bleeding. It should be avoided in the last trimester of pregnancy and used with caution if you have heart, kidney, liver or blood-pressure problems. Each film-coated tablet is built around a single, well-studied active ingredient:

• Ibuprofen 400mg: a propionic-acid NSAID with combined pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing action.

• Excipients include lactose monohydrate, so this product is not suitable if you have a known lactose intolerance.

For adults and children aged 12 years and over, the usual dose is one 400mg tablet taken up to three times a day, with a gap of 4 to 6 hours between doses. Do not exceed 1200mg (three tablets) in 24 hours for over-the-counter use unless directed by a doctor.

1. Swallow one tablet whole with a glass of water; do not chew, break or crush it.

2. Take with or after food if you have a sensitive stomach.

3. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed to control symptoms.

4. Do not use for more than 3 days for fever or 5 days for pain without medical advice.
