Description
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser 236ml is a creamy, non-foaming cleanser that removes dirt, makeup and impurities without stripping the skin's natural moisture barrier. Its ten-ingredient formula pairs niacinamide and panthenol with hydrating glycerin and a single mild surfactant, making it a first choice for dry to normal, sensitive skin. Soap-free, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, it can be used with or without water, morning and evening.
Why This Gentle Cleanser Works
Most cleansers rely on three or four surfactants to create lather. Cetaphil uses one, sodium cocoyl isethionate, which is coconut-derived and among the mildest available. Micellar technology lifts dirt, oil and makeup away like a magnet rather than scrubbing them off, so the skin barrier stays intact. The formula is clinically proven to defend against the five signs of skin sensitivity: dryness, irritation, roughness, tightness and a weakened barrier. In brand testing, 95% of users felt it cleansed their skin gently.
Ideal For
This cleanser is ideal for dry to normal, sensitive skin, and for anyone whose barrier has been compromised by harsh actives, retinoids, acne treatments or eczema flare-ups. It is gentle enough for daily use on the face and body. Very oily or acne-prone skin may prefer a formula designed for excess oil. In the UAE's air-conditioned indoor climate, a non-stripping cleanser is a sensible daily foundation.
Ingredients
• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Helps smooth skin texture and reinforces the moisture barrier so skin holds water better between washes.
• Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5): Soothes and hydrates, calming the tight, reactive feeling that harsher cleansers leave behind.
• Glycerin: A humectant that draws water into the skin and keeps it there, delivering hydration during cleansing rather than after it.
• Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate: The single, coconut-derived surfactant that does the cleansing work without the stripping action of sulfates.
Full ingredient list: Water, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Panthenol, Niacinamide, Pantolactone, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid. The current formula is paraben-free, sulfate-free, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.
How to Use
1. With water: wet your face with lukewarm water, apply a generous amount and massage gently in circular motions.
2. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.
3. Without water: apply a liberal amount, rub gently, then remove the excess with a soft cloth, leaving a thin film.
4. Follow with a moisturizer while the skin is still damp to lock hydration in.
Use morning and evening. The cleanser does not foam, which is by design and not a fault. If you have worn heavy makeup or sunscreen, use an oil or balm cleanser first, then follow with Cetaphil as your second cleanse.
