Description

Itrazol 100mg Capsules 15s is a prescription oral antifungal medicine containing itraconazole 100 mg, a broad-spectrum triazole used to treat a wide range of superficial and systemic fungal infections. Each pack of 15 capsules provides a standard course for common indications such as vulvovaginal candidosis, pityriasis versicolor, and dermatophyte infections of the skin and nails. Available at MedX Pharmacy with fast UAE delivery, Itrazol works by stopping fungi from producing the substances they need to survive, helping clear the infection at its source.

How It Works

Itraconazole, the active ingredient in Itrazol 100mg, belongs to the triazole class of antifungals. It works by inhibiting an enzyme called 14-alpha-demethylase, which fungi need to make ergosterol, a key component of their cell membranes. Without ergosterol, the fungal cell membrane becomes unstable and the fungus cannot grow or reproduce, allowing the body to clear the infection. Itrazol is effective against a broad range of yeasts and dermatophytes, including Candida, Aspergillus, and the fungi responsible for ringworm and nail infections.

Important Information

Itrazol 100mg is a prescription-only medicine and must be used under medical supervision. Tell your doctor before starting Itrazol if you have liver or kidney problems, heart failure, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Women of childbearing age should use effective contraception during treatment and until the next menstrual period after stopping. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice, and do not take antacids or acid-reducers within two hours of your dose, as they reduce absorption. Itraconazole interacts with many medicines including statins and heart rhythm drugs; share your full medication list with your provider. Common side effects include nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, and dizziness; seek medical advice if you notice yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, or severe rash. Store below 25 °C, out of reach of children.
