Dexilant 30mg contains Dexlansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). This lower strength is primarily indicated for the maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis and the treatment of heartburn associated with symptomatic non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It utilizes a unique dual-delivery system to provide extended acid control throughout the day.

Dosage & Administration

• Dosage: 1 capsule (30mg) per administration.
• Frequency: Once daily.
• Method: Administer orally with 200ml of water. Swallow the capsule whole; do not chew or crush the granules, as this destroys the delayed-release mechanism.
• Timing: Can be taken with or without food.
• Special Handling: If swallowing the capsule is difficult, it may be opened and the granules sprinkled onto a tablespoon of applesauce. The granules must be swallowed immediately without chewing.
