Eliquis 5mg contains Apixaban, a highly selective, reversible, and direct inhibitor of Factor Xa. It provides physiological support by decreasing thrombin generation and thrombus formation. It is primarily indicated for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and for the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE).

Dosage & Administration

• Standard Dosage: 1 tablet (5mg) per administration.
• Frequency: Twice daily (morning and evening).
• Method: Administer orally with 200ml of water. Tablets may be taken with or without food.
• Swallowing Difficulty: Tablets may be crushed and suspended in water, 5% dextrose in water ($D5W$), or apple juice, or mixed with applesauce for immediate oral administration.
• Consistency: Maintain a strict 12-hour interval between doses to ensure stable therapeutic levels in the blood.
