How It Works
Epiduo targets acne through two complementary mechanisms working in parallel. Adapalene, a third-generation retinoid, normalises skin cell turnover, unblocks pores, and calms inflammation at the follicular level. Benzoyl peroxide is an oxidising antibacterial that reduces Cutibacterium acnes bacteria on the skin and gently exfoliates the outer layer. In clinical trials, the fixed-dose combination produced significantly better outcomes than either active alone, with measurable reductions in both inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions by week 12.

• Common side effects include skin dryness, mild peeling, redness, stinging or burning on application, and increased sun sensitivity. A purge phase during the first 4 to 12 weeks is normal as deep clogs surface.
• Avoid contact with eyes, lips, nostrils, cuts, eczema, or sunburned skin. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin.
• Do not use Epiduo at the same time as other topical retinoids, benzoyl peroxide products, or strongly drying cosmetics.
• Limit sun exposure during treatment. Use SPF 30 or higher daily and protective clothing when outdoors.
• Do not use during pregnancy or if planning pregnancy. Speak to your doctor before starting treatment if you are breastfeeding. Consult your dermatologist if irritation is persistent or severe.

1. Cleanse the affected areas of the face or trunk with a mild, non-medicated cleanser and pat the skin completely dry.
2. Dispense a pea-sized amount of gel for each treatment area (forehead, chin, each cheek).
3. Apply a thin, even film over the entire acne-prone area, avoiding the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.
4. Use once daily, preferably in the evening before bedtime, on clean and dry skin.
5. Wash hands thoroughly after application, as Epiduo may bleach hair or coloured fabrics.
6. Follow with a non-comedogenic moisturiser if dryness occurs, and apply broad-spectrum sunscreen the following morning.
