G-Warts 5% Cream Sachets (12's)

Description

G-Warts 5% Cream by Glenmark is a topical imiquimod treatment for external genital and perianal warts, supplied in a pack of 12 single-use sachets. Each 250mg sachet delivers 12.5mg of imiquimod, an immune response modifier that helps the body's own defences clear wart tissue when applied as directed by a healthcare provider.

How It Works

Imiquimod is an immune response modifier that acts as a Toll-like receptor 7 agonist. Rather than attacking the virus directly, it stimulates the skin's local immune cells to produce interferon and other cytokines, prompting the body to recognise and clear the human papillomavirus (HPV) infected tissue that causes external genital and perianal warts. Because the response is gradual and immune-led, treatment is applied over several weeks under medical guidance.

Important Information

This is a prescription medicine for external use only; it is not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use, and it is not a cure for HPV. Local skin reactions such as redness, irritation, or erosion can occur and may require a pause in treatment. Do not use on broken skin or in larger amounts than directed, as overuse increases the risk of severe skin reactions. It is not recommended for children under 12. Consult your healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant, nursing, or have an inflammatory skin condition, and seek advice if symptoms persist beyond four weeks or worsen. Store below 25 degrees Celsius and keep out of reach of children.

Ingredients

• Imiquimod 5% w/w (50mg per gram): an immune response modifier indicated for the topical treatment of external genital and perianal warts (condyloma acuminata) in patients 12 years and older.

• Each single-use sachet contains 250mg of cream, equivalent to 12.5mg of imiquimod, enough to cover a wart area of up to 20 square centimetres.

How to Use

Always follow your doctor's instructions. The typical regimen for external genital and perianal warts is as follows:

1. Wash hands and the affected area with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly.

2. Apply a thin layer from one sachet to the wart area at bedtime, three times per week (for example Monday, Wednesday, Friday), and rub in until the cream is no longer visible.

3. Leave on the skin for 6 to 10 hours, then wash the area with soap and water.

4. Discard the sachet after a single use and continue until warts clear or for the duration your doctor advises (up to 16 weeks).
