Hydralyte Ice Blocks Orange 16s

Description

Hydralyte Ice Blocks Orange 16s are freezer-ready electrolyte ice pops that make rehydration simple when the body loses fluids to heat, illness, or exercise. Formulated to the World Health Organisation oral rehydration standard, each orange-flavoured block delivers a balanced dose of glucose and electrolytes that plain water cannot match. The cool, sip-friendly format is gentle on upset stomachs and easy for children and adults alike to finish.

Why These Electrolyte Ice Blocks Deliver

When you are dehydrated, water alone leaves out the sodium, potassium, and glucose your body needs to absorb and hold onto fluid. Hydralyte replaces all three in a scientifically balanced ratio, helping you rehydrate faster than water on its own. The frozen format also slows intake to small, steady sips, which is often easier to tolerate during nausea or vomiting.

Ideal For

These ice blocks suit the whole family, from babies and children to adults and pregnant or breastfeeding mothers. They are a smart choice for gastro-related fluid loss, hot UAE days, sport and heavy sweating, travel, and school or daycare sick-day kits. They are especially useful for children who refuse to drink rehydration liquid but happily finish a frozen treat.

Good to Know

Hydralyte is a rehydration aid, not an everyday snack. Seek medical advice if vomiting or diarrhoea persists beyond the timeframes listed on the pack, and consult a healthcare provider before use if you are on a sodium-restricted diet or managing a medical condition.

Ingredients

• Glucose monohydrate 1 g (fuels sodium and fluid absorption)

• Sodium from sodium chloride 61.5 mg

• Potassium from potassium citrate 50 mg

• Citric acid monohydrate 300 mg

How to Use

1. Place the ice blocks in the freezer until solid.

2. Cut open one end of a frozen block with clean scissors.

3. Push the block up from the uncut end and suck small amounts until finished.

Follow the age-based dosing on the pack. As a guide, children under 12 months take 1 block every 60 minutes, while those over 12 years can take 3 blocks every 30 minutes. The blocks can also be eaten unfrozen if you prefer.

Nutrition information

• Sodium: 77 mg

• Potassium: 54 mg

• Also contains sugars, sucralose, sodium benzoate, and potassium sorbate

A full pack holds 16 blocks, equal to 1 litre of oral rehydration liquid, and the maximum daily dose provides around 4.9 g of sodium.
