Description

Opizole 1% Cream 15g is a topical antifungal containing clotrimazole 1%, used to treat a wide range of fungal skin infections including ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, candidiasis and pityriasis versicolor. Manufactured by Oman Pharmaceutical Products, this broad-spectrum imidazole cream is applied directly to the affected skin to clear the infection, ease itching and prevent recurrence. Supplied in a 15g tube and available at MedX Pharmacy across the UAE.

How It Works

Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal that binds to phospholipids in the fungal cell membrane and alters its permeability. This causes the loss of essential intracellular components, stopping fungal growth and clearing the infection. Direct topical application targets the affected skin area precisely, with minimal systemic absorption, making it suitable for surface skin and nail fungal infections.

Always consult your healthcare provider before use, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or treating a child under 3 years of age. Opizole is for external skin use only and must not come into contact with the eyes, mouth or vagina (use a vaginal-specific clotrimazole formulation for vaginal thrush). Stop use and seek medical advice if local intolerance, severe skin irritation, redness or a rash develops. Store below 30 degrees Celsius in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
