Why This BHA Exfoliant Works

Most exfoliants only work on the skin's surface. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid, and its lipophilic structure lets it dissolve into the oil sitting inside a congested pore. It exfoliates the interior walls of the pore rather than just the top of the skin, which is why BHAs are the go-to for blackheads, oily T-zones and breakout-prone skin. At 2%, this is the maximum over-the-counter concentration.

Ideal For

Oily, combination and blemish-prone skin dealing with blackheads, congestion, enlarged-looking pores and uneven texture. It suits the UAE climate, where heat and humidity drive sebum and sunscreen layering leaves pores congested. It is not for sensitive, dry or compromised skin: if acids have stung you before, or if your skin runs dry, the squalane-based Anhydrous version is the gentler route. Suitable for teenagers with blemish-prone skin.

A short, deliberately unfussy formula built around one active:

• Salicylic Acid 2%: the beta hydroxy acid doing the work. Oil soluble, so it penetrates sebum and exfoliates inside the pore to clear congestion and target the look of blemishes.

• Water-based, lightweight texture: absorbs fast and layers under other products without the greasy feel of an oil-based acid. This is what separates it from the squalane-based Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution.

• Free from alcohol, oil, silicone, nuts, gluten and soy. Vegan and cruelty free.

1. Patch test first. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm once a day for three days before using it on the face.

2. Use in the PM, on clean, dry skin, before moisturiser.

3. Apply a small dot directly onto spots, or a small amount across the face for general clarity. Do not rinse off.

4. Avoid the eye contour and eye area entirely.

5. Follow with moisturiser, and use a sunscreen every morning while using this product and for a week afterwards.
