Zofran Melt 8mg is an orally disintegrating formulation of Ondansetron, a potent, highly selective serotonin receptor antagonist. It provides physiological support by inhibiting serotonin signaling at vagal nerve terminals and the chemoreceptor trigger zone, effectively suppressing the emetic reflex induced by cytotoxic chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgical trauma.

Dosage & Administration

• 1 tablet per dose.
• 2 to 3 times per day, as directed by clinical protocol.
• Method: Place the tablet on the tongue surface; it will disperse via saliva within seconds.
• Administer orally: Swallow with saliva. Intake of water is not required for dissolution or administration.
• Handling: Use dry hands to peel back the foil blister. Do not push the tablet through the foil, as the brittle matrix may fracture.
• Timing: For acute chemotherapy prophylaxis, administer 30 to 60 minutes prior to treatment.
