Dosage
For vaginal use only. Insert at night for best results:
1. Wash and dry your hands and the vaginal area before use.
2. Using the applicator, insert one pessary high into the vagina each night for 6 consecutive nights, preferably at bedtime while lying back with knees bent.
3. Alternatively, two pessaries may be inserted nightly for 3 consecutive nights. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early.
Do not use during your period as treatment may be less effective, and do not swallow the pessaries.
Important Information
Use Canesten Vaginal Tablets safely by keeping the following in mind:
• Intended for women aged 16 to 60 who have previously been diagnosed with vaginal thrush by a doctor.
• Clotrimazole may reduce the effectiveness of latex condoms and diaphragms, so use alternative precautions for at least five days after treatment.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use only under the supervision of a doctor or midwife, inserting the pessary without the applicator during pregnancy.
• Consult a healthcare provider if symptoms do not improve within 3 days, persist beyond 7 days, recur frequently, or if you have abnormal bleeding, lower abdominal pain, fever or foul-smelling discharge.
