Mycosat Oral Suspension 100,000 IU/ml (30 ml) is a nystatin antifungal medicine used to treat and prevent candida (yeast) infections of the mouth, throat and intestinal tract, including oral thrush. Supplied with a graduated dropper for accurate dosing and suitable for all ages, it offers well-tolerated relief with negligible systemic absorption for patients across the UAE.
How It Works
Nystatin is a polyene antifungal antibiotic. It binds to ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane, which changes the membrane permeability and causes the leakage of cell contents, stopping the growth of candida. Because nystatin is barely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, it acts locally where it is applied in the mouth and gut, which keeps systemic exposure very low and makes it well tolerated across age groups.

1. Adults and children: 1 to 6 ml four times daily, with doses spaced evenly through the day.
2. Newborns: 1 ml once daily dropped into the mouth, as advised by a doctor.
3. For mouth or throat infections, hold the suspension in the mouth as long as possible before swallowing so it stays in contact with the affected area.
4. Continue treatment for at least 48 hours after symptoms have cleared to help prevent relapse.
5. Shake or measure carefully, and complete the full course your doctor recommends.
