Hiquin 4% Cream 30g
Description

Hiquin 4% Cream 30g is a prescription-strength hydroquinone treatment that fades stubborn dark patches and helps restore an even skin tone. Containing 4% hydroquinone (40mg per gram), this Jamjoom Pharma cream targets melasma, sunspots, freckles, age spots and post-inflammatory marks by reducing excess melanin where it forms.

How It Works

Hydroquinone works by inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for producing melanin in the skin. By suppressing this pathway, Hiquin 4% Cream gradually lightens hyperpigmented areas and helps prevent the build-up of new pigment, producing a reversible lightening effect over several weeks of consistent use. Because it is a prescription-strength 4% formulation, it is considered a first-line dermatological option for stubborn pigmentation that has not responded to over-the-counter brightening products. Used correctly and consistently, it helps fade existing discolouration while you protect the skin from the sun exposure that drives new pigment formation.

Important Information

Hiquin 4% Cream is a prescription-only medicine and should be used strictly under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Do not use if you are allergic to hydroquinone or any ingredient; the cream contains sulfites that may trigger reactions in sensitive individuals. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Apply only to intact skin and avoid use after shaving or chemical hair removal. Discontinue and consult your doctor if you experience persistent irritation, redness or any gradual blue-black darkening of the skin. Store below 30 degrees C and out of reach of children. For external use only. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting treatment.

Ingredients

• Hydroquinone 4% (40mg per gram) - a topical depigmenting agent widely prescribed in dermatology for hyperpigmentation disorders

• Indicated for melasma, chloasma, freckles, senile lentigines (age spots), sunspots and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne or skin injury

• Works at the source by interrupting the conversion of tyrosine to melanin, so dark patches fade gradually rather than being masked

How to Use

Apply a thin film to the affected area once or twice daily, or exactly as directed by your physician.

1. Cleanse and dry the affected skin before application.

2. Apply a thin layer to dark patches and rub in gently and fully.

3. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily, as treated skin is more sensitive to the sun.

Most discolouration begins to lighten after about four weeks, though results vary and may take longer. Avoid the eyes, mouth and broken or sunburned skin.
