• Boxed warning: tirzepatide caused thyroid C-cell tumors in animal studies. It is contraindicated if you or a family member have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
• Do not use if you have had a serious allergic reaction to tirzepatide or any ingredient in Mounjaro.
• Tell your doctor about any history of pancreatitis; stop use and seek care for severe, persistent stomach pain.
• Gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, diarrhoea, reduced appetite and vomiting are common and are more likely when starting treatment or moving up to a higher dose.
