How It Works
Roxonin Tape works by releasing its active ingredient through the skin and into the tissue beneath the painful area. Once absorbed, loxoprofen is converted into its active form, which reduces the production of substances in the body that cause pain, swelling and inflammation. Because it is applied topically rather than swallowed, it concentrates relief where it is needed and can help lower the risk of the stomach, heart and kidney effects sometimes linked with oral NSAIDs.
Important Information
Roxonin Tape is for external use only. Do not use it if you are allergic to loxoprofen or other NSAIDs, or if you have a history of aspirin-induced asthma, as this may trigger an asthma attack. Use with caution and seek medical advice first if you have bronchial asthma, a peptic ulcer, blood disorders, lupus, or liver or kidney disease. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding, as it should be used in pregnancy only when the benefit outweighs the risk. Stop use and consult a healthcare provider if you notice skin rash, redness, severe irritation or any allergic reaction. This product relieves symptoms and does not treat the underlying cause, so if pain persists or worsens, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Store below 25 degrees C in a light-resistant, airtight container and keep out of reach of children.
The patch is built around a single clinically established active ingredient:
• Loxoprofen sodium hydrate equivalent to 100 mg anhydrate per tape

Apply Roxonin Tape once daily to the affected area, or exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If the skin is wet or sweaty, wipe and dry it first. Peel away the backing films in sequence and press the adhesive side onto clean, intact skin over the painful muscle or joint. Do not apply to wounds, broken skin, mucous membranes, eczema or rashes, and do not use more than directed. If you miss a dose, apply it when you remember unless it is nearly time for the next one.
